Did some more doodling and painting on shipping labels. Watercolor and black uni-ball elite pen. See all my decorated labels on instagram #decolabel
Here is a flower doodle I did a very long time ago.
Did some practice flowers in watercolor on shipping labels. i really liked this because even though I may not have been that happy with “practice” flowers when the labels are pulled apart they look great (in my humble opinion-ha ha) better at least than just a sheet of practice doodles. I like this because I felt free to do what ever I wanted and knew that it didn’t matter because the labels always look better pulled apart.
Can you see how I used the small strips between the labels for a boarder around my journal page? Super skinny homemade washi tape!
I like how the labels add a bit of color and design to the page. Then I just add some lines for journaling and I’m ready to go.
One of my favorite doodles from my first art journal.
One of my favorite things to doodle is flowers and one of my favorite things to use in my journal are decorated labels from Avery Products. For this project I used white 1 1/2 square labels for inkjet printers.

First I start with a page of labels on my clipboard. I make sure the pen I use is waterproof.

And I have found that for me, watercolors are my favorite way to color them.
After I have painted I can’t wait to start pulling them apart! Here are some close ups of these cute little squares.
